His brother Roderick W. Mason (1899-&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;) served as a Lieutenant in the 132nd&amp;nbsp;Infantry during World War I. Lowell Mason was also a candidate for Illinois Attorney General in 1932.
