Dear Sir, Desiring information concerning the appointment of surgeons in the forces raised in this state - for the General Government I write you.

Have all the appointments been filled for the surgeons? And are there any vacancies? Do the surgeons pass a examination before a board of examiners? or how are they appointed? If the appointments are filled out; will there be any more? Escuse this freedom. But I knew of no other man to write.
