My Dear Sir: This will be presented by Dr Owen M. Long of this State late Surgeon of the 11th Regiment Ills. Vols whom I desire to commend to your kind [friendly?] notice -- He goes to New Orleans to take up his residence and will be the Illinois Sanitary Agt. at N.O. and surrounding country -- For any assistance you can render him at any time I will feel personally obliged.
