Dear Sir
I went up to the Secession Camp and demanded to see their papers after Considerable hesitation they showded them to me from which I make the two following extracts the first from their preamble and the second one from their 15 articles
1st "Said Company to be Independent is not subject to the Militia Laws as a Company
Sec 15 "This organization is Independent not to be under or in any manner whatever Subject to the Malitia Laws of this State or the United States"
You can show this to the Governor when you go up if you deem it necessary
