Sir,

The undersigned would respectfully request that his Commission as Second Assistant Quarter Master General, may be made out and presented to him, dating from the time of his acceptance of the appointment as the same is considered necessary to legalize his action.

The appointment together with the acceptance of the same has been for some time on file in the Adjutant General's Office.

The writer is not aware that the Commission of the Chief of this Department has yet been issued.
