In reply to your communication of the 8th of Oct. I have the honor to inform you that Drafted men cannot choose his regiment unless it be a Veteran organization, and by that consent of the Officer Commanding the Rendezvous/
The War Department have positively prohibited drafted men from choosing their own regiment.
