I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the [10th] instant addressed to His Excellency Governor Yates and in reply desire to inform that application has been made by the Governor to the Commissary General of Prisoners for the exchange of the members of 137th Regt Ills Vols now prisoners in Alabama.

hear of their release.
