Being informed that a regiment of Infantry is now being organized in this state, and that you are about to appoint the Field Officers for the same, I take the liberty of recommending Maj. A. Schwartz for the position of Colonel in the regiment.
I need not dwell on Maj. S merit and qualifications as you are acquainted with both.
