Andrew J. Stephens of the 33rd Ills Regt. has been confined in your hospital for some time without any chances of ultimate recovery. The bearer, his brother desires to obtain either a discharge or a furlough for him, and if consistent with the interests of the public service, I would request you to assist him in obtaining the same.
