I am reliably informed that George W. Anderson, Co [illegible] 9th Regt Ill Cavalry is now confined in your hospital and that the prospects of his recovery are doubtful.
I would request you to examine him and if consistent with the interests of the service assist him in obtaining his discharge. If not a fit subject for discharge assist him in obtaining a furlough for a new days.
