Helen Davis Stevenson, granddaughter of Jessie W. Fell, the founder of the town of Normal, married Lewis G. Stevenson on November 21, 1893. Lewis was the only son of Adlai Stevenson I, the 23rd Vice President of the United States and a U.S. Congressman from Illinois. On verso: "Helen Davis; In the Holland costume made by her Aunt Alice."
