This is to Certify that I have been intimately acquainted with D Alph. Milner since he was a boy _ I knew him well while a student in our schools and afterwards as a student and practioner of Medicine, and during this long acquaintance. his good moral Character, his industry and intelligence have been to Me the sure guarantee of ultimate Success.

  I am satisfied that Dr Milner will neither ask or accept any professional position in the Army that he Cannot fill with honor to himself and satisfactorily to his friends and patrons
