Col T H Cavanaugh appointed me Batt Q Master I understand that there is no such office if there is no such office I have a letter from Col Johnson saying for me to go to you and you would appoint me Regimental Q Master to his Regiment I left that letter at home John M Snyden (?) will tell you all that was in the letter he had it I would rather go with Col Cavanaugh if there is any such office
