                            I have the honor to apply to you for permission to raise a batallion, or, Co. of Cavalry for one year's Service, or if said Cavalry will not be accepted; Can I get permission to recruit a part, or whole Co for one year;

for an old Reg't whose term of Service has partly expired.

         Can give good reference from numerous army Officers Having a desire to enter that branch of the Service, I Submit this to your Eccellency for information.  I have the honor to be,
