           Being incapacitated for duty by a wound received in a skermish at Spring Hill Nov 29th  I am very anxious to spend a short time at Home during the Hollidays And knowing that you are a true friend to all true soldiers I have the honor to request that you will use your influence to get me transfered to the Hospital at Quincey Ill  hoping to hear from you soon I remain Your most Obedient Servt
