H.G. Hamlin Esq of this City is lying dangerously sick with typhoid fever. Mrs. Hamlin states that Mr. H. had an appointment to meet you at Springfield some time during the present week. In order that you may not be incommoded in any way, Mrs. H. requests me to write you and say that Mr. H will not be able to fulfill his part of engagement.
