Dear sir
As I am not personally acquainted with Gen. Washburne Will you give me a (Bully?) letter of introduction to him Col. Adams who will hand this letter to you. is interested with me in an operation hear which he will explain to you which makes it necessary that I should become acquainted with Gen. Washburn.
I intended to cancel and see you when I was at home a few days ago but business called me hear . I want to return home soon to - do what I can for our ticket. Every thing looks well at Present .............yours as ever
