                                                As a member of the Ex. I and U L.A. in this city who have in Charge the arrangement for a Great Mass Convention of the 8th (illegible) Dist Mo. (W.A Hall) I am instructed to invite and urge you to address our people upon that occasion.  We hope by a vigorous effort to defeat the proposed successor to Hall-Mr J. M. Glover and elect Mr J F. Benjamin a thorough Radical.  Gov'. allow us to hope you  will respond affirmatively to this request  We think you can do us more good than any other man.  Name the time most convenient with your other duties. As near 1st October as may be and we will arrange accordingly.  An early reply will Oblige.
