My Dear Governor, Will you do me the favor to endorse the enclosed letter, & forward it, to the [illegible] H. [illegible] , me, [illegible] of [illegible] has [illegible] to the [illegible] you gave him & will do especially well in the [illegible] army. I regret that I did not meet you [illegible]. I went to the [illegible] this morning & learned that you had just gone. [illegible] truly yours E. P. Ferry
