Enclosed find letter from young Adams to me, I am afraid from what he says, and the appointment not being officially [illegible] by him that there is a Screw loose, will you please write [Dennison?] to forward on the same, either to you or him at Vincennes [Inn?], so that the young mans mind will be at rest. When will you be in our Godly City, I thought you said you would lay over on your return from Elgin
