            Description
The Garrison Hill Cemetery at the old Fort Kaskaskia site stands on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River which is partially obscured from view by the trees. During massive flooding in 1881, the citizens of Kaskaskia relocated 3,000 graves from their original cemeteries to this location.
