ASSASSINATION OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN,LATE PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES.
To the Worshipful the Mayor of the Borough of Derby.
We, the undersigned inhabitants of the Borough of Derby, respectfully request your Worship to convene a Public Meeting for the purpose of expressing indignation at the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln, late President of the United States, and of condolence with his bereaved Widow and Family, as well as of sympathy with the American People in their present trying position:
