Description
Clarissa Hagler Jorgensen, of Springfield, recounts stories of Vachel Lindsay who she knew as a child to Nicholas Cave Lindsay and an unidentified woman. In a separate oral history interview done with Jo Saner of Sangamon State University on March 12, 1985, Jorgensen explains that her mother, Kent Rolla Dunlap Hagler, worked with Lindsay after his mother sent him to her to share his poetry. Like other mentors in his life, they became close personal friends.
