Sir Peter Davidson Esq Capt. of Peoria light artilery, thinking he is entitled to the appointment of a physitian, for his command has requested me to be examined by the medical board of examiners, persuant to occopying that position. I would respectfuly ask of Gov. Yates an order entitling me to an examination, by said board & hopeing you may deem it adviseable to appoint me to that command as physitian & in doing so will much oblige yours &c.
