Dear Governor.
I was detained at Scott Court until yesterday and never have not heard the result of your telegram to the Secy. of War. I have had fears that he would not approve the thing - trusting in you and the Lord for an Early opportunity to do something, (in case Mr. Stanton Jails us) I shall wait with all becoming patience for "something to turn up".
