Dear Sir

I am informed that you have or are about to have more prisoners on your hands. As perhaps the Barracks here are more comfortable

than elsewhere, and the causes of apprehension of which I spoke to you when in St. Louis, are now removed, more prisoners might be

sent to your camp here if you desire. The accommodations here are and pronounced very good
