I wish to inquire of you as to the demand, or necessity for more surgeons in the Illinois regiments.
Who are at present the examining board?
When will they again meet for the examination of candidates.
Are there more surgeons needed? and if so how many?
Your model letter to the president gives very general satisfaction in this portion of Egypt.
