Dear Sir:
I have had a short acquaintance with Mr E. Colbert, in his capacity of reporter, And can most cheerfully testify to his industrious habits Also he is very ready in condensing & analyzing matter to be reduced to writing He reported the commencement exercises at Bloomington for the Times. These reports were exceedingly accurate & satisfactory.
