I respectfully recommend Dr. H.H. Hood of this city for an appointment as Surgeon of some of the new regiments or indeed to any vacancy that may exist
Dr Hood is a regularly educated Physician and maintains a very favorable reputation for skill and industry.
I feel verry sure that he is equal to the duties of the position suggested and his appointment would gratify the loyal men here
