Dear Sir

I thought I would write to you and ask for permission to raise a Brigade Band, there will be severel Brigades formed in this state, since the last call for volunteers, and I suppose they will want a Band, I know there was an Order Issued to recruit for no more Bands but I have heard since that the Government wants Brigade Bands If you are willing to have me raise a Band I can do so in 24 hours.
