Dear Sir
I received a gunshot wound in the right arm in the battle of Perryville. Have been in the Hospitals at Louisville and here ever since. am getting pretty tired of "Hospital life" will be very much obliged to you, if you will give me a furlough to come home two or three weeks, until my arm gets well enough for me to go to my Regiment.
