His Excellency

R. Yates

Sir

We the undersigned would respectfully represent That we would wish to form a company of cavelry which we think can be raised in this vicinity and to this end we would solicit your excelency to authorize John M. Neal MD to raise such a company. There are a number who have served in the Army who have been discharged and would reenlist if such an opportunity were afforded it appears that the Government wishes more Troops and if your Honor will afford us the privaledge of Raising Such a company you will confer a favor on your petitioners
