Sir I wish you would Recommend me to the President for the appointment of Provost Martial of the Twelth Congressional District as per Conscription Act. I think that those who have been in the Field ought once and awhile get some of the appointments and not those who have stayed at Home and Enjoyed all the comforts of home and Society; Let those who have been in the rear lines take front and those who have been in front take rear
