We have just rec'd the news of the commencement of Hostilities and I hasten to inform you that I shall commence organizing a company at once. for the Volunteer Service, Having experienced some difficulty in having my company received by Gov Ford for the Mexican War. I take this opportunity to let you know that I shall need some assurance that my company will be received. Please give me the earliest information in relation to this matter that will be of Servise to me.
