I observe there are several vacancies in the paymaster department of the army and I would respectfully suggest that Something might be done for W O Jones Esqr of this City he is as you are aware a staunch Union Man. What think you. I am to far removed from head quarters to do any thing myself I have taken the liberty to suggest the matter to you.
