Your letter of the 5th inst. in behalf of Elijah Turner, addressed to Col. Broadhead, was I presume sent to me by mistake.
The prisoner is confined at the Gratiot Street Prison, St Louis, and I have referred your letter to Col. Broadhead that the case may be investigated
